I used to use the Linux hardware database at lhd.datapower.com, but it
looks like it's gone, although perhaps resurrected at sourceforge:
http://lhsd.sourceforge.net/welcome.php3 -- actually, no, that site
doesn't look too useful -- certainly not to the extent the old LHD was.
Too bad.

OTOH, http://www.linuxhardware.net/ looks more similar to the old LHD.

In case anyone doesn't know the std. initials, DJB =
