[CLUE-Tech] cron/cronjob problem

I am running FreeBSD 4.6 on a box that is being used as a web server among other
things. The system works solidly except for cron. My server requires time
synchronization which I get by doing a simple 'ntpdate time.nist.gov'. The
problem is that if I add a line that executes ntpdate in crontab using cronjob,
ntpdate is never executed. Other commands in the crontab file are carried out
fine just when they should be. Any ideas?
