[CLUE-Tech] mp3 id tags

I want to do some mass renaming of mp3 files.  I backed up my cd's and I 
ripped them using just the track number for a file name.  Is there any 
program which allows you to extract the id information so I can do 
something like "mv file `idextractor -name -trackno`" or something?  
Just a command which returns one selected field of the mp3 file.  I can 
build from there.
