[CLUE-Tech] trouble with usb-storage driver and flash reader

Hi,

I have a fedora core 1 linux installation with 2.4.22
kernel. It used to be able to read my flash card
reader just fine but now it doesn't. I do not believe
I have made any configuration changes to the machine,
but it is no longer able to create a device for the
card reader when I plug it in.

I turned debugging on in hotplug.functions ( and added
a couple of debug statements as well) and now this is
what it is logging: ( note towards the end it says,
missing kernel or user mode driver usb-storage ).

A subset of the output of lsmod is below:
usb-storage 76192 0 (unused)
scsi_mod 108168 2 [ide-scsi
usb-storage]
usb-ohci 21512 0 (unused)
usbcore 79168 1 [usb-storage hid
ehci-hcd usb-ohci]

On an (un)related note - I am also no longer able to
access the cdrom device to mount it as well and that
used to work.

Any ideas for debugging this?

thanks!

Ryan
