I tried a live CD version of Suse last week on my Athlon64 and it booted
fine. I assume it's a version of 9.1 because it came with the lastest
issue of Linux Format (or was it Linux User & Developer?).
My 2.6 kernel boots from a SATA drive, so hopefully that should not be a
problem. I don't recall if I had to compile SATA support.
