Borrow an ActionTec modem from someone. If it works for you, they sell for 
$50.  I have 3 machines hanging off mine with capacity for several more. I 
think we had five going when family visited for thanksgiving.  Modem 
supports WiFi.  I bought mine from Qwest.  No idea whether they are on the 
market in retail stores.  The hub hanging off it is a LinkSys.
