Personally, I think it's perfectly fine.  Someone on the list has a 
project and wanted to post something about it.  That's different than 
someone has a project and joins the list to post something about it.

But I think if the post had different wording--asked a question, or 
responded to an earlier question/problem--it might be better ;)
