FYI,

The presentation is still on, but in the absolute come-upance of all
times, the only way I can get my laptop to work with the CLUE
projector is to use WinXP!!! Dave Jenne and I have spent several hours
tinkering with this, and I've googled to no avail. Everything I've tried
with X has resulted in failure. Fortunately I have OpenOffice loaded on
WinXP(the laptop is dual boot), and the projector works just fine with
windows driving the display.

Here's the setup:

HP ze4630us laptop (mobile Athlon cpu with a Radeon video chip)
WinXP
gentoo linux kernel 2.6.7-r2, glibc 3.3.3-pre20040420, xorg-x11-6.7.0

When I start the laptop in linux, the projector display is ok until X
starts, then I get a 'no input' signal and a blank screen. My normal X
setup is 1024x768 using the 'radeon' driver. I've tried lower
resolutions (800x600) and the 'ati' driver, no success. The only driver
that will work is the 'vga' driver, and the character sizes are so huge
that not even a third of the displayed image will fit on the screen.

I've attached the xorg.conf (just like XF86Config, but xorg uses
/usr/share/fonts for the font libraries).

Anyone out there have a CLUE?

I'll show up early Tuesday night before the KISS presentation, so If
anyone can help, please speak up.
