My computer is slow enough (500 MHz) to still have a little bit of a 
pause when OOo is already open.  It's better, but... window focus will 
save me memory and it's just the "right way" to get what I want.

I've been looking around online and it seems that I need to tell 
Metacity something about window focus.... but can't?  Maybe I should 
switch to fvwm ?  I heard Metacity works really well with Gnome though.
