Isn't this canonical by now (is that the word I want)?

E.g.:

Q: What hardware will run foo?

A: Ask Google.

Q: How can I get such hardware?

A: Ask Ebay.

Now IIRC, 5L is Linux.  So maybe there's an x86 version.  So maybe you 
don't have to look.  Interesting that IBM has a FAQ under software 
technologies for Linux, but not for AIX.
