You're quite right about that. The great and glorious Red Hat
obviously never bothered to test Postgres before rolling out a default
setting with selinux activated. The bug has since been noted, and
probably fixed (?), but in the initial 4.0 rollout, Postgres wouldn't
start with the default selinux settings.
