I currently have this machine on a comcast cable modem
and for the most part that is fine. The main
requirements that I have are static IP, backup power,
and cooling that is better than my house.

If it turns out the most cost effective solution is a
managed server then we will go with that option, as we
currently have a server with Rackspace and their
support has been very good.

Thanks.
