[clue-tech] Unexpected Reboots

List,

One of my RHEL/CentOS servers appears to be restarting itself
unexpectedly. This machine is an unattended server (there is no
workstation for someone to sit at) which runs 24/7. After reviewing the
logs, I cannot identify any reason for this behavior. In fact, the
whole reboot process looks clean (no errors, no corruption), as if
deliberate. I have included at the end of this message a snippet (in
brevity) of the /var/log/messages log file right at the point of reboot.

As you can see, the system went down sometime between 15:00 and 16:12
for no apparent reason. The system appears to come back up normally and
I only know that it rebooted because I review the log files daily. This
is the third time that I've caught the reboot, and there does not seem
to be any pattern. Because of this lack of obvious reason, I need your
expertise to troubleshoot, and stop, this behavior. Any ideas? I
assume you'll want more information, but I cannot anticipate exactly
what, so please feel free to ask for specific details.

Thanks!!
