Yes, check the md5sums first.

If you can't find a way to get there with your system, I for one will
be happy to burn a CD for you. I currently have the Kubuntu 6.06 (KDE)
 iso on tap, but I could download the Ubuntu 6.06 (Gnome) if you
prefer.
