It's uncanny how telcos, cable companies, and other large
conglomerates frequently make billing errors and suchlike that drop a
few extra dollars in their accounts, and so very, very rarely make
mistakes that go the other way, isn't it?

When I moved to my current address a few years ago, I bought my own
cable modem so I wouldn't have to rent from Comcast... of course, a
rental charge showed up on my bill -- though not right away.
