these Alphas, too.  Not that any of the Linux distros are *bad*, it's
just that most people I know who run these boxes run NetBSD on them.

I always thought a good rule of thumb for the *BSDs is FreeBSD for
internet services like ftp, web, etc, OpenBSD for firewalls and other
security stuff, and NetBSD if you wanted to turn your cellphone into a
file server.  :)
