compiled in instead of as a loadable module.

When I threw in the towel and reinstalled and when I
was setting up the RAID partitions, Mandrake piped up
and said that a non-RAID'd partition would need to be
created and mounted to /boot to support the RAID
configuration I had.

That just seems to confirm the non-RAID kernel notes
from before.
