Greetings,

I am trying to 'emerge -u world' my gentoo amd64 system.

I get errors about blocking packeges ... so ran with --pretend and get:

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating world dependencies  ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ... done!
[blocks B     ] =kde-base/kview-3.5* (is blocking kde-base/kdegraphics-3.5.5-r2)
[blocks B     ] =kde-base/kimagemapeditor-3.5* (is blocking
kde-base/kdewebdev-3.5.5)
[blocks B     ] =kde-base/ksmserver-3.5* (is blocking kde-base/kdebase-3.5.5-r3)
[blocks B     ] =kde-base/ktouch-3.5* (is blocking kde-base/kdeedu-3.5.5)
[blocks B     ] >=x11-proto/xproto-7.0.6 (is blocking x11-libs/libX11-1.0.1-r1)
[blocks B     ] =kde-base/kopete-3.5* (is blocking kde-base/kdenetwork-3.5.5-r2)
[blocks B     ] =kde-base/kfloppy-3.5* (is blocking kde-base/kdeutils-3.5.5)
[blocks B     ] =kde-base/kdepim-kresources-3.5*.....
etc, lots of stuff about kde

I did emerge -C (unmerge?) against the list of blocks, and now emerge
--search say they are gone, but I still get the blocks when I try to
upgrade.

Is there something I am missing?
