KDE caused me some problems also a few days ago...
It looks like you are trying to emerge meta-packages and the packages those
meta-packages contain (or portage is trying to do that at least).
If you don't know kde is in split packages:
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/kde-config.xml
For example you can't emerge kde-base/kimagemapeditor and
kde-base/kdewebdev (kdewebdev is the meta-package that contains
kimagemapeditor). That's why you get all those blocks.
Try tagging --tree on your emerge world statement and see what portage is
trying to pull in and is causing the block, then work your way from there.
