I went out and bought aftermarket antenna's from Radio Shack ($30) that
added 7DBi to the output. So far that seems to hav done the trick. The went
right onto my Linksys WRT54G just fine. Instead of the upstairs PC barely
getting any reception (when it could see it), now it's reporting %56+
reception rate. (Knock on wood) This did the trick!

Just as a side note , Worst Buy (Best Buy) doesn't even cary such items,
they only will sell you the routers and nic's, and the two guys I talked to
there about what I needed and why seemed so totally clueless (no pun
intended) - but I've found that with most Best Buy folks - don't know jack
about what they are selling.
