Just an update for those who have players that are ogg-challenged.
Chomafin <chomafin at gmail.com> reported on the CoLoCo list a little gem
of a program called soundconverter (http://soundconverter.berlios.de/)
that coverts ogg to mp3. I can detect no loss in audio quality after
the conversion.
Just a word to the wise, this is a compile from source package - no
deb or rpm that I have found so far. You need perl XML::parse,
python-gtk2, gnome-gtk2 and the usual prereqs for compiling stuff, but
the effort is worthwhile if you have a pod type device that can't talk
ogg.
