Bob, Before you compile gftp, you might want to try the one in the repository. It might be good enough for what you want to do. The command-line hand-holding thingy tells me there's one in there... ... $ gftp The program 'gftp' is currently not installed. You can install it by typing: sudo apt-get install gftp-common ... see? -- David
