I've used an Acer Aspire 1691WLMi for about 4 years now.  It's performed
quite well.  I use it at home with an external monitor attached running
my desktop on the external display and media apps (like a mythTV client)
on the laptop display.  It has an Intel graphics chipset and sound.
I've been quite happy with this box. Pretty much everything works out of
the box with F9 though I've never used the modem or firewire
connections.
