That would be a really excellent idea. Let all of the update methods
pull from the same pool and handle upgrade and dist-upgrade operations
using the same ruleset. Then you could just choose one based on your
preferred environment.

Nevertheless, I've come to rely on the smxi method to organize the
upgrade options in a standard fashion so that I don't have quite as
many choices. Sure, I could accomplish the same thing with the bare
tools, but it would require more discipline and effort, and I'm
basically lazy when it comes to maintenance. In particular, I love to
be prompted to rebuild the proprietary modules when it's time.
Otherwise X would fail to start or wireless would fail, and I'd say oh
$%#@, I forgot.

I'm really happy that H2 (handle on forums) has 'wasted so much time'
(per a prior post) to develop a really useful utility.
