[clue-tech] How to redirect video to external port on laptop ?

I have an HP 510 ( Model RU961 ) laptop that has had the LCD screen  
removed because it was cracked.  The laptop will boot into XP and turn  
on video to the external video port.  How can I Linux to do the same  
thing so I can then try to run a VM supporting both XP and a Linux  
file server ?  I would also like to back up my hard drive using a  
Linux utility.

Because the LCD screen is gone, I see no way to bring up the BIOS  
editor.
I have several programs I have to run under XP.
