Louis,

The following comes from 1)the fact that I have been fiddling with computers for 46 years now, 2) I'm getting old and crotchety and 3) I have to trouble shoot Windows (ugh!) for my bride on a daily basis.

Son, it is about time you begin to read the directions and analyze them for yourself. There is very little that you can do that will destroy your computer or your life. To me, it seems that the very worst would be that you would have to reinstall Ubuntu and start over. All that risks is your time--probably less time than you have already spent leaning on others for simple solutions.

Sorry for the tirade, but I have run out of time to help.

Sincerely,
