I think so too. Virtualization is a bit more practical for the average user too, since they can do it on their own computers.
I'm interested in VMWare for work, but I think I will stick with Qemu-kvm at home, unless someone shows me something in VirtualBox that I really want.
I've noticed a few things about qemu-kvm so far. It runs much faster on my 4-core Phenom system than it does on my 2-core Turion laptop. I don't know why, since the VM wasn't really doing anything. It might be due to memory. I don't recall how much the laptop has.
The VM looks good in a window, but it looks bad when it goes full screen. There must be a video setting that I need to change.

I think the conclusion was more along the lines of "Which one is 'best' depends entirely on what you want to do with it". Not unexpected, and I'd expect the same result from a virt shootout, but it would still be hella fun.
