Thanks Collins,
I have been searching google but here's the problem.
This computer has a Wifi light on it that shows when the device is
recognized. When I started this process, the light was lit but the
device never connected to the network. So I have been pursuing the
driver to ensure that I have the correct driver installed so that it
will connect.
I the meantime, the light is no longer lit and there is no wlan0
anywhere i can find (/dev, /proc).
The chip specifically is a BCM4321. Looked at the chip set on the mini
card.
There is a linux broadcom driver for this chip and I am pursuing that
avenue, but there is still no wlan0 device and the light is still not
lit......no joy.

Thanks for the advice though....
