You might get more useful replies if you told us what device it is.  You might also try booting a 
live CD (http://partedmagic.com/ if you don't have one handy) and telling us what the partition 
table looks like, and perhaps some of the files on each partition.

Have you asked Google about what you want?  If you provide the above info that's what I'll do.
