[clue] [CLUE server] Ongoing discussion about future of the CLUE server

I'm cobbling together separate postings into an ongoing thread. The
status quo is a VPSlink server paid for for six months. We need to
keep the discussion going now rather than in a big huff in six months
time. If you have anything to contribute, let's keep it in this
thread.
