[clue] Ubuntu 12.04 Install disc

Thanks to all for replies.

I decided to go with U 12.04 64 bit install, as suggested here.
I moved the file to a Linux computer rather than try
writing a disk with Windows again.

Before writing the cd from Linux,
I did an m5...thingy and my CRC matched the CRC of the 
internet download site.

Then the gnomebaker utility burned the CD which looks OK,
on a 10 second glance at a bunch of directories.

I am regrouping for the next stages.
