[clue] storage distros? (requesting advice)

I have used and liked OpenFiler, but the article I Google'd up seems to indicate that FreeNAS is better for your application:

My favorite solution for this problem, any time performance isn't absolutely the only concern, is still a general-purpose distribution plus configure the services you want: NFS, Samba, iSCSI, drbd, or whatever.
