[clue] seeking RHEL+Clearcase advice

Multiple licenses, but I'm approaching this from the point of the view of
the "new guy" trying to figure out why one install isn't working and come
to find out the whole damn environment is broke.  (FACEPALM)

Remind me why we don't just use git?   (sigh)
