Redmine:
1. Project 1: filesystems
2. Project 2: servers

Each filesystem created uses the -L option to to provide a label with a
Redmine Issue id included.  That issue id is the collection of history
about that filesystem in whatever format you describe for that project
in Redmine (you can add custom fields, for example).

Each server has an IP address which maps to a Redmine task name in
Project 2 that contains the history and current configuration of that
server.  Custom fields are added for quick views of current
configuration.

Redmine: it's not just for tracking bugs....
