[clue] BitTorrent Sync talk

I think Gary mentioned it. I considered going that route but I decided I wanted to do more, like try OpenMediaVault and also stream movies. I wasn't sure about a $100 server handling streaming, so I built one instead. 

OMV also has OwnCloud but I haven't done much more than install the plugin, set up an account and copy a few files to it. Maybe this weekend, now that BT Sync just eliminated something I was researching.

That was a great talk last night. I have a friend who syncs files on her computers and the solution I found at that time requires her to do it manually. I'm going to switch her over to this. 

I checked and OpenMediaVault has a a third-party plugin for BitTorrent Sync. Now I have a reason to test it. And probably use it. 



Thanks! It was a really fun presentation to give too. If anybody is interested in the CLUE Key just ask (or somebody who has it handy feel free to post it). I don't know if it will be that useful but certainly if we need to share files between us you can't beat the ease of use. 

Who wants to give an OwnCloud presentation? I'd love to see OwnCloud + BTSync. 

I'll also have to check out OpenMedia Vault too. 

BTW last night somebody mentioned a $100 server that was the best investment ever. I can't remember who it was or what it was. Can you please beat me with the remember stick?
