[clue] ubuntu precise portmap enablement

I have a system, actually a few, that fail to automount NFS's. I check portmap and find out it's not running. Now, how, *how* do I figure out whether it's enable d? In Fedora or EL, it's just sysconfig --list portmap. How in the Precise do I do this?
