Proposed basic rules of netiquette for the CLUE email lists. Feel free to edit.

Welcome to CLUE. Please observe the following rules of netiquette when
posting to the list:

1. Be kind to your fellow list members. If you feel the need to be
offensive, please reply directly to the sender, not the list.
2. Many people are offended by "top posting.", ie adding your reply to
the top and quoting what you are replying to after your comments. The
preferred method is logical order: quote what you are replying to,
then add your comments. If replying to several points, you may
interleave your comments after each point.
3. Please trim your posts to remove superfluous signatures, encryption
trash, commercial advertising, and overly lengthy quotes. Modem users
will be most thankful if you make the total content brief.
4. Please keep your signatures brief, less than 5 lines if possible.
If you cannot control the automatic insertion of lengthy disclaimers
(commercial sites), we would prefer that you subscribe from a personal
email address.
5. CLUE has several lists, each with it's own preferred topic(s).
Comments of most any nature may be directed to CLUE-TALK. Members of
CLUE-TECH prefer that your comments have a Linux technical bent. The
CLUE-ADMIN list is reserved for comments about maintenance of the CLUE
server, website, and email lists.

Enjoy,
