It's always great to have other viewpoints and share ideas without
getting into a flamewar.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of interest for a bb/forum site. OTOH,
if you want to work offline with Jeff and Jed and Dave to put up a
proof-of-concept site when the next version of phpBB is released, I
would certainly not be opposed. Like Mailman, there shouldn't be a
tremenduous amount of maintenance required. If the site is not used,
it would die a natural death.
