That's not what I said, nor what I meant.  I want everyone to know about installfest, and about the 
meeting that happened after Thanksgiving.  I don't want to receive 7 copies of my post.

For installfest I use -announce and those not subscribed lose.  I don't worry about it but I wish it 
were different.

For the meeting notes I used -admin, with an announcement on -announce.  Apologies to those who 
missed both.

Neither case has anything to do with response.

If you do that I'll use it.  You might announce its availability and suggest why it is a better 
alternative to the others offered.  Then those voting can vote accordingly.  No one has suggested 
you can't campaign for your candidate.
