Here are a few last comments on sylpheed:

The From line being confused is not a problem with
normal mail.  Normal mail shows who it is from, as
expected.  But if I send mail to myself at three 
different accounts, the From line in the email is
correct but the From line in the list box shows
all the *target* addresses as the source address.
This is repeatable and incorrect behavior, but not
a big deal since normal mail is fine.

Also you can import kmail-formatted mailboxes.
You do them one at a time through the File menu.
A little tedious if you have many folders to move
but quite manageable.
