to follow up my own post:

cbeyond got listed on the sorbs anti-spam dnsbl. the evidence supports the 
listing, so I am not going to criticize sorbs.  unfortunately, my client 
was using sorbs to protect their own desktops from spam.  I whitelisted the 
client's /24 to solve the problem internally, and hit on cbeyond to resolve 
the listing, since other people using sorbs are blocking us too. supposedly 
cbeyond is working on it.
