[clue-talk] No PNG transparency in IE?

I can't believe this. I am getting ready to do some major revisions on
my Web site, and I have a PNG logo w/ a 100% transparent background that
I want to place on top of a color gradient. Made up a quick page and
viewed it in Firefox--everything looked fine. Then I checked in IE, and
much to my surprise, the logo showed up with a white background. I could
have sworn that IE supported 100% transparency in PNGs, but maybe not. I
have IE6, updated fairly recently, running in Crossover Office.
Is this for real? If so, what the hell is Microsoft's excuse?
