*Thanks Shawn. I guess there are a lot more options than I had imagined. I
don't know how to get the output of lspci-v. My computer skills are not that
extensive.
I don't have Linux installed, as an OS on my laptop, right now. I have
it as a guest OS, with Vista.
Does the USB Ethernet Adaptor use a separate Linux driver? How would I
find out if it would be easier to get a driver for that than for the
built-in one that was hard-wired into my notebook motherboard?
I have an Acer Aspire 5516.
