[CLUE-Tech] Mozilla 0.7 Web Browser Problems/Fixes

Greetings All-

I'm presently using the Mozilla web browser release 0.7 Build 2001020313,
and have found that like Netscape 6 for Linux, the Mozilla browser does not
connect to Hotmail or secure web sites that use https (SSL) like Yahoo
(select secure login option).

When attempting to connect to login to Hotmail or access secure sites, I get
a 'Connection Refused' error. The fix with NS 6 was to compile-in the
Personal Security Manager (PSM), but this is already included in Mozille
0.7, according to Mozilla.org.

I've searched for a couple of hours for a fix to this to no avail. No
mention of this problem being reported/resolved in the recent 0.8 release. I
really would like to move to Mozilla browser and leave Netscape 4.7x behind,
but until Mozilla supports access to the aforementioned, I cannot make the
switch.

Anybody have any insight into how to fix this problem with Mozilla or when
it will be addressed? Any other browsers that can access web sites that make
use of SSL and are stable enough for practical everyday use (no
alpha-release software, please!).

Thx.

Jim Intriglia
