The SCSI was compiled as a module (in the past I've had to compile it
directly in to get any results with this hardware combo anyway) so I put
it in as static.

I also got the raid working this way as well. RH puts both of those things
in their kernels so why buck the trend (that is the distro I'm using...).

Thanks for the help/leads. I have it working perfectly like I want it too
now!
