I built OpenSSH on my box, and scp came along for the ride.  

Get OpenSSH, zlib, and OpenSSL.

Make zlib, then make OpenSSL, then make OpenSSH.  You have to do a make,
then a make install on each.  The make install by itself says it does
it, but one was broken, and I forgot which.
