Can you send me the file you're trying to convert to HTML?

I assume you could convert the file to HTML when you had it in
DocBook SGML, but when moving it to DocBook XML the problem
arose?

Also, what version of Debian are you using, what version of sgmltools,
DocBook, etc? Any errors that you're getting should be helpful as
well. I can try the file out on my end and see what the problem
might be. If you're using Debian stable, it might be that the tools
are out of date. I believe that the stable release only installs
DocBook 3.1.

Anyway, send it my way and I'll take a look. It'll be good for
me, I haven't been doing much with DocBook for a while...
