tta love linux.  That new knoppix bootable cd was just the ticket for
getting data off a windoze laptop drive - windows could not boot from
the drive and even a 'host' desktop machine under windows refused to
play with the drive - explorer hung when accessing the drive.

Knoppix was able to mount the drive and cp data off of it to another
windows readable device - dealt with the longh empedded space file names
- even browsed the disk in konqueror.
