I bought a digital camera today (since we are having a baby any minute 
now...).  The Olympus line supports the USB mass storage.

So, I take some pictures, boot up my RHAT 9 laptop, plug in the camera and 
it's autodeteced by USB driver.

I mount the camera:  mount -t vfat /dev/sd1 /mnt/camera

Viola!  Pictures downloaded.

I guess I can throw away the Windows disk that came with the camera.
