[CLUE-Tech] RHAT 9 IMAP recommendations?

Greetings,

I am settup up mail services on a RHAT 9 box that lives on the internet
(scary). My MTA is postfix and it does not provide POP or IMAP. According
to the postfix FAQ, there are at least three projects that have been
integrated with postfix:

# Cyrus IMAP implements IMAP, POP3, and KPOP, later versions also support TLS.
This software implements its own private mail database system. Not for
beginners.

# Courier-Imap provides POP3 and IMAP, and supports access over SSL. This
software supports the maildir-style mailbox format only (one message per
file, same format as qmail).

# Qpopper-supports POP3, TLS (SSL), and uses the traditional UNIX-style
mailbox format (multiple messages per file, each message starts with "From
sender date...")

Since I am a newbie at mail setup and administration, I solicit
recommendations, warnings, and advice from the group from folks who are using
postfix + red hat + IMAP. I plan on using SSL for the transfer of mail and
to protect account logins.

I also appreciate other pointers to good documentation (I read the rhat
manuals and the postfix docs).

Thanks in advance.
Jeff
